The idea for the Coming Out Project was sparked many years ago when a bunch of friends, standing around a kitchen island, shared our "coming out" story. Story after story, laughter and tears.  Each story different with one thing in common.  We were all scared at least once in our lives when we uttered the words "I'm gay".

We shared well into the night.  All of us wishing we had heard these stories many years ago or even before our own reality became one of these stories.  

And so it begain... 

One story can help start another and hopefully make a beginning for someone else not so scary.
